Good Morning Awesome Person, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all the trimmings but we all know it's about to get busy between Christmas parties and Children's Church Christmas plays. My worry is, as it is every year, that Jesus gets lost in all the activity. Have you ever played Where's Waldo? You know, the busy cartoons filled with lots of activity and you have to find the red striped shirt-ted Waldo with hat and glasses? It takes resilience to find Waldo. You have to look carefully and not be misled by red herrings that kind of look like Waldo. There is a book, because, of course there is, called Finding Jesus by Winston Rowntree where you must find Jesus among a crowded picture. I think the point is made, Jesus is one of 100 other things in our lives and can be, sometimes, hard to find, not because Jesus is hiding but because there are so many other things crowding our vision. To find Jesus is easy, eliminate everything that isn't Jesus, right? If it were that easy. No, you can't cancel the Christmas Parties, not go to the Kids Church Play or not go to the in-laws for Christmas dinner, but you can be diligent to seek Jesus among all the things competing for your attention.
