K is for Knowledge
It's not what you know...
it's what you practice. That's what I teach my students. I tell them about the Pharisees who, even though many of them were knowledgeable, they couldn't see Jesus for who He was. Jesus said,
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, John 5:39
Their knowledge could't save them.
You may be pretty smart and have a degree. You may be pretty experienced and been at this youth ministry thing a while. But, I would implore you not to rest on knowledge alone due to the effect knowledge has on us,
Now regarding your question about food that has been offered to idols. Yes, we know that “we all have knowledge” about this issue. But while knowledge makes us feel important, it is love that strengthens the church. I Corinthians 8:1 NLT
Knowledge is a thing; you should get a bunch of it, but it's not the only thing and it's probably the thing your students value least about you. Students would rather be loved than lectured.
